Triple O | What does "OOO" mean?

Since I worked quite hard these days, I decided to give myself a treat - to have a fabulous meal at lunch. The appealing fast food restaurant Triple O's came across my mind instantly, and I was anticipating the lunch hour for the whole morning.

At lunch, I went to Triple O's and found there was no one on the queue, fabulous. I went through my choicephoia and finally made my decision on the Mushroom Burger Combo. The set was priced at $68, which I also requested an extra egg topping for $5. Given the price of the combo, $5 was comparably cost nothing.

My Mushroom Burger Combo was made with 100% pure beef patty topped with fresh sautéed mushrooms and triple O’s sauce. It was not my first time having Triple O's Burger, but before I blogged about food, I never really remember how food tasted like when I had them. So I was really excited about having a nice big delicious burger at lunch.

Awfully Overly Chocolate Mooncakes

The sole reason I pre-ordered the mooncakes from Awfully Chocolate was because of the wooden box. It was simply too pretty to not to own it. Another reason was that my merchandising work needs a box to hold my tools. So, here comes my box of moon cake.

To be honest, I have the faintness idea about what the mooncake content was, Fyi, I am a Lotus person. I am obsessed with lotus and would try possibly stick with only lotus mooncake at all times. Therefore, when I first cut my Awfully Chocolate mooncake in halves, I was shocked to see its content in brown, chocolate. Actually it makes perfect since firstly 'Mooncake' nowadays is just a generic term for anything roundly shaped, and secondly I purchase this box of 'mooncake' in Awyfully Chocolate.

Since today is Mid-Autumn Festival, we could get off work earlier. Yet, it is pretty hard for my industry to leave on time. In order for me to leave earlier, I decided to grab a quick lunch instead going to celebration dim sum lunch with my other colleagues. (Anti-social? Hopefully not.)

I went down to Pret A Manger and instantly I found myself standing in front of the hot wraps corner, was trying to find something hot than cold. These days, hot stuffs are more comforting than cold stuffs although the weather is still hot as hell. In the hot wraps rack, there were in total 4 different variety of wraps. A Pizza wrap, A Beef Burrio and 2 kinds of chicken wraps. When I grabbed my Beef Burrio from the rack, I was rather surprised that the wrap was real hot. My eyes uncontrollably gave the fridge a quick check and found a temperature window showing some kind of temperature which I forget. Anyway, I was impressed. The wraps were $36, given the location and the hotness, I accepted it naturally. Just when I went to the counter to check out, I found lots of bagels, filling with colourful veggies , harms and tomato selling at a price of $16. GG, I know where to grab lunch next week, or possibly this coming Friday.

Milk Top | Cheese Pudding

This jar of cheese pudding was very different from the milk pudding that I had yesterday in every aspect.

Taste-wise - The pudding has a strong cheese flavour but lacking any milk taste. The after taste was long and the cheese taste and aroma lingered in your mouth and tongue for a while. The cheese pudding was just mildly sweet, but at the several end spoons, the pudding abruptly got sweety. Had the sugar sunk down?

Lotte Toppo | Strawherry

Its time to clear up my snack drawer! In order to start my diet real soon, I have to polish every single of my delicious evil snacks. Fortunately many of the snacks that I bought came in several little packs in a box, so I would not end up polishing literally everything by myself. So, you should be seeing my updating lots of snack reviews these coming weeks.

Milk Top | Hokkaido Milk Pudding

I went passed Sogo today and decided to try Milk Top's Milk Pudding out. Last time I went, I tried their ice-cream out, but unfortunately wasn't my liking.

There are 3 flavours available for Milk Pudding at Milk Top. The original one is Milk, the cheese flavour and a chocolate flavoured which was newly introduced.

The Big Apple | Fusion or Confusion?

Once again, I went to this restaurant at lunch. The reason for re-visiting was simple, not because the food or the environment is nice, its because there were seats available. My friends chose to eat here before I knew it, so I ended up eating here again in this seemingly Western but Chinese styled restaurant.

Flying Pan - British Fly Up

Once again, I went to my favourite Flying Pan after a stressful day of work. Flying Pan was as busy as always, even in the weekdays. We were allocated to a squashed corner. Although it was a corner seat, but it weren’t exactly as comfy as the real corner table which is next to ours. It was pretty hard to describe how the table was arranged, and I am a bit lazy in explaining that. Anyway, I wasn’t wholly satisfied with their seating plan.

Morinaga - Red Bean Candy

When I was first handed this candy at office half a year ago, I fell in love with it instantly. It was such an amazing candy that you would never forget its taste. Hang on, I might be a bit bias, since I am a big fan of Red Bean. Well, most of the people I know love this candy, so you should love it too.

The red bean candy came in an individual small pack in a box which approximately contains 20 individual candies in it. The red bean candy is a soft candy. It was very chewy and a bit sticky which some of the residue might get stuck on your teeth after finishing one candy. Flavour wise, the candy had an extremely strong red bean flavour. It was very mouth watering, you could feel your mouth moisten after chewing one for a minute or so.

This red bean candy is a heavenly treat, and I highly recommend this to everyone, red bean lover or not.

Glico Pretz - Kansai Negiyaki

I found this pack of newly stocked Glico Pretz along another pack of flavour in City Super several weeks ago. On the promotion board, it promoted 3 limited seasonal flavours, yet only 2 were available in City Super. Shame, I bought the available ones back home.

This flavour of this pack is Kansai Negiyaki, Negiyaki is a thinner variants of Okonomiyaki but with more Scallion. From the package of the box, you should be able to see those heaps of scallions throughout the pancakes.

To be honest, this pack of Pretz was not as savoury as I thought it would be, since Pretz were in general pretty salty to me. As I haven't really tasted Negiyaiki but Okonomiyaki, I could not really tell whether this stick biscuit really contained the taste of Negiyaki or not. All I can commented on is that it was only slight salty but a lot of Monosodium Glutamate. I was in extreme thirst after polishing the pack. Appearance wise, it was just as normal as the normal Pretz.

The Dublin Jack | Irish Pub

These days I was all about group buy, which ended up with lots of coupons that I have to spend within limited time and an astronomical figure displayed on my credit card statement. My Dublin Jack coupon is a $150 paid, $300 worth coupon and it is going to expire tomorrow, so I have to use it tonight.

Dublin Jack was at a rather convenient location to me, in the heart of LKF. we made a reservation at 7.30 pm tonight, and the pub restaurant were not even 30% full when we arrived. No matter so many pubs are closing down in LKF these days, and the strugglers are fighting for customers with cheaper and cheaper happy hours or another marketing strategies such as this group buy coupon. The environment in Dublin Jack was quite decent. The pub restaurant was pretty spacious, the interior was nicely furnished to give an chill atmosphere. We were assigned to a 4 people cabin seats and there were racks above the cabin to put bags or coats up, very thoughtful.

Froyo Race Stop 9 ♥ Yogurt Bliss

I usually came to this street specifically for Pizza Express or Fu San Korean Food, I love the two restaurants so much that I never failed to stuff myself overly much every time. Yogurt Bliss was one of the stores that caught my attention but I never had a chance to try it. Since I love froyo and my froyo race is still going on, today I skipped dinner and went to try their froyo out.

PCC | Strawberry Banana Cream

I love Pacific Coffee Company's Strawberry Banana Cream Smoothies, I usually get them in vende size if I am going to share it with someone!

For the Strawberry Banana Cream Smoothies,  PCC uses real banana in blending the drink. Whereas for other drinks, I am not sure whether they will use real fruit or not. The smoothy contained a strong taste of banana and a light taste of strawberry. The texture was quite smooth, not too ichy and gave a rather thickness smoothy texture.

Lotte - Crunky Biscuits

I bought this small pack of biscuit in one of those convenient stores in Japan. It came in small packaging, so I would not indulge myself too much in snacks (a way to deceive myself).

 

The biscuits was in double layers with a chocolate filling. The biscuit itself was very crumbly, with a texture similar to  Mc Vita's digestive biscuits. The chocolate layer was quite thick and had bits of rice cricket spread across the chocolate fillings. Its texture was soft and dissolved on your tongue instantly. Taste wise. it had a rich hazel nut chocolate taste. Quite a nice snack.
