Yippee, its breakfast time! In this bright and warm Saturday morning, I woke up early and decided to eat out for breakfast. I remembered once I saw this appealing pineapple bun with fillings in it somewhere in causeway bay. I checked it online and went straight down for breakfast. Studying in Causeway Bay for years, I was surprised I never once paid attention to this little street in Jardine's street. Anyway its good to know there is such a nice restaurant around, especially for breakfast and tea.
There were all day sets available, but the only thing interested me was the pineapple bun. I knew the restaurant is most renowned in the pineapple bun with the fish cake, but I wasn't a big fan of fish, so I didn't have the intention to try that. From the menu, it said Pineapple Bun with Ham & Egg. I asked the staff if I could have Pineapple Bun with Luncheon mean & Egg instead, and there went my breakfast.
1) Pineapple Bun with Luncheon Meat & Egg $13
I was really anticipated for the bun, so I was thinking how they would prepared the bun once I had ordered. Turned out it took quite a while for them to serve my bun, which was a good thing since it proved they had put in effort in preparing the bun, even its just a bun. The pineapple bun was served very hot. When I lifted the bun up with the oil proved tissue paper, I could literally feel the crispiness and softness of the Bun. The crispy and soft texture gave me a contended feeling upon every bite on the bun. The bun was sandwiched with 2 layers of luncheon meat and 1 layer of folded egg. The egg was made over hard but was quite smooth, the luncheon meat was not oily at all. What I found most amazing was how perfectly the sweetness of the bun matched with the saltiness of the luncheon meat and egg. It created an amazing taste which I enjoyed a lot.

2) Hot Milk Tea $11
The hot milk tea was prepared steamingly hot when served, so I had to left it aside for a while before I could enjoy it. To be blunt, the tea taste was too concentrated which somehow gave a bitter taste towards the end. The milk tea was smooth however not particularly thick. It was definitely not my best cup of milk tea.
