Holy Crab - Put On Your Apron and Get Your Hands Dirty!

I was rather excited to hear the opening of Holy Crab, an American-style seafood restaurant specialised in Cajun Cuisine located at the heart of Lan Kwai Fong. Holy Crab offers freshly seafood aired from America several times a week,  features "pick your own catch" approach and traditional Cajun cooking method. The Menu is designed to be shared on the table, and the seafood is all served on a bucket, unshelled. So ladies and gentleman, it's time to get your hands dirty and have some fun!

Gaucho - Flame Grilled Argentinian Steakhouse

Price: $$$$
Cravingness: ★★★★★

Flame on! Gaucho, the award wining Argentinian steakhouse originated in UK has recently made its stop in the steakhouse battle scene in Hong Kong. Located at the LHT Tower, the very heart of Central, Gaucho Hong Kong is the first flapship restaurant in Asia (Wo-hoo!). I am very excited about its opening, but not as excited as Henry, as Gaucho is his favourite steakhouse on Earth and he can talk hours about it. We thought reservation would be difficult, but to our surprise, we got our reservation pretty easily.

Mott 32 - Turkey Meets China

Price: $$$$
Cravingness: ★★★1/2

Approaching the end of the year is two very exiting seasons, Thanksgiving and Christmas. And the very first thing that comes in mind is TURKEY! Turkey promotions are everywhere and restaurants under the belt of my beloved culinary group Maximal Concepts, Mott32, Blue Butcher and Fish & Meats have all introduced their own version of turkey. And in Mott 32, it's going to be Peking Turkey! Sounds freaking awesome, isn't it?

Mott 32 - Best Cod Fish On Earth!

Price: $$$$
Cravingness: ★★★★★

Mott 32, an exciting Chinese Restaurant newly opened at central, is the talk of the town lately. I would never ever expect such a great hype on any Chinese restaurant. The grand opening night of Mott 32's was truly grand and magnificent. The entrance was red carpeted all the way to the restaurant, celebrities, skinny models with flashy outfit and smart looking guys were everywhere at the night of the opening.

Mott 32 is the new venture at the gourmet family Maximal Concepts, which also owns restaurants such as Blue Butcher, Brickhouse and Fish and Meat. I am a big fan of the group myself. Given the background, the food quality at Mott 32 is much guaranteed. I was invited over for a tasting at Mott 32 tonight, so let me show you what's good in there.

Mind Blowing Food at the Quirky Salon 10

Price: $$$
Cravingness: ★★★★★

Salon Number 10, the funky bar located above Lan Gwai Fong recently launched a dinner service headed by Chef Austin, the former chef of Brickhouse. If you have not been to Salon 10 before, you might have difficulties to locate where it is as the restaurant & bar does not even has a name on its door! Yet you can easily spot Salon Number 10 from its crazily cool entrance.

Grandma's Dessert - The Taste of Local Dessert Soup

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★★★

I know Chinese Dessert Soup is not everyone's cup of tea, many of my friends do actually prefer western desserts more. With chain dessert shops all around the corner, it might be convenient to dine at those places, but I never found myself truly contended with the taste those chain shops offer. There are certain tastes that you feel contented with and feels right and homey. To fish for those tastes, you really have to go to the local shops for authentic tasted Chinese dessert soup. Grandma's Dessert is among one of them.

Kung Lee - Delicious Sugar Cane Cake

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★★★

Even if you are not fond of or do not believe in the benefits in drinking Chinese herbal tea, you will not resist a cup of sweet sugar cane juice. Among hundreds of herbal tea shops in Hong Kong, Kung Lee has to be the most famous herbal tea shop in Hong Kong.  Having a slight advantage in geographical means, i.e. their shops in the most hectic street in soho and Wan Chai, they sell thousands of sugar cane juice and other herbal tea per day. Same as eggettes, you can claim you have been to Hong Kong if you did not try a cup of this goddess sugar cane juice.

Despite the sugar cane juice, I really love Kung Lee's Sugar Cane Cake. The cake tastes like glutinous cake with its chewiness. The cake was only mildly sweet with a mild sugar cane taste. This sugar cane cake is a light dessert, which you can take it anytime of the day, even before dinner!

Qing Hai - The BEST Duck Noodles in HK

Restaurante Escada is located at a beautiful building on the staircase of Xin Ma Lu in Macau. It offers delicious authentic Portugese cuisine in romantic settings. The restaurant is spacious with three floors to accommodate guests. Service is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful.

To be completely honest I was not in a conscious status the night I dined at Escada, so I will just state whatever I remembered.

Lang Fong Yuen - Condensed Milk Bun

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★★★

The Lang Fong Yuen branch in Shun Tak Center is a convenient spot for travelers between Hong Kong and Macau (actually most likely people from China), I usually went for breakfast or snack if I happen to be going to Macau.

Condensed Milk Bun

I got the condensed milk bun today as I intended to lunch over at Macau but I was starving at that point. The bun was not too expensive, priced at HKD$13 (if I remember correctly). I had the bun to go, so it was delivered fresh and hot.

Liberty Private Works - Be Prepared to be Amazed!

Price: $$$$$
Cravingnes: ★★★★★

Liberty Private Works (LPW) is definitely a dinner that you have to try at least once in a lifetime. It is a dinning experience with delicious food, good paring wine, excellent service with brilliant night view of Hong Kong. LPW offers Prix Fixe menu with 8 courses, priced at HKD$ 890 and definitely worth every single penny. The setup of LPW is simple and direct with an open kitchen and bar seating. Chefs are experienced and each is assigned to a specific work role so there is no crazy running around and food flying across the table. Everything is made and present from scratch right in front of you eyes, with chef explaining the dish upon serving. Ambience is chill and fun at the same time. I really LOVE this place.
