We wish you a Merry Christmas~ it's almost my favourite festival in a year, Christmas! I am seeing more and more Christmas decorations and lights at malls and restaurants which got me superb excited! To celebrate Christmas, two Hong Kong's homegrown brand team ZAVVA and Sakura Cupcakes team up this year and created a festive treat for everyone! Are you ready for some shots and cupcakes? :)

Cova Ristorante & Caffe - Where goes my Apricot Cream?

★★☆☆☆
$

I came over to Cova today since my sister gave me a $200 Cova coupon to spend. I wanted to get the blueberry cheesecake but it was sold out again, so I opt for other cakes.

Chestnut Cake $36 (2/10)
Chestnut puree was smooth, thick and sweet with strong chestnut taste. The sponge cake was fine itself but the combining taste of the sponge cake and the chestnut puree was very weird. The puree didn't really match with the sponge cake for some reason. I also think the paste was a bit too sweet overall. I only like the marrons glacés on top.

Chocolate Library | Chocolate Indulgence for Sweet Tooth Friends

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

Seems like the popularity for the renowned Ritz-Calton the Chocolate Library has never gone down since the day it grandly opened, the queue is still crazy even on the weekdays. We went today at 1.30pm and were informed to be seated at around 4.30pm - 5pm. Since we have been here, we'll go shop around before dinning in.

Despite the queue, there is strict dresscode at Chocolate Library.

VERO Chocolate - Cakes with Complexity and Creativity

★★★★★
$

Environment (4/10)
An open display windows to showcase all their lovely pastries. There were also a fancy looking Chocolate Brewing Machine. The name tags of the pastry are extremely small, so it was rather difficult to spot their names. It was also pretty weird to dine in the cake shop as there is no seats in the area.

Royce - White Chocolate Bar

Cravingness: ★★★★★

Getting 2 boxes of Royce Nama Chocolate, I got this white chocolate bar or free. I originally thought a bar of chocolate would be less nice when compared to the Nama chocolate, yet the taste was amazingly nice.

Awfully Overly Chocolate Mooncakes

The sole reason I pre-ordered the mooncakes from Awfully Chocolate was because of the wooden box. It was simply too pretty to not to own it. Another reason was that my merchandising work needs a box to hold my tools. So, here comes my box of moon cake.

To be honest, I have the faintness idea about what the mooncake content was, Fyi, I am a Lotus person. I am obsessed with lotus and would try possibly stick with only lotus mooncake at all times. Therefore, when I first cut my Awfully Chocolate mooncake in halves, I was shocked to see its content in brown, chocolate. Actually it makes perfect since firstly 'Mooncake' nowadays is just a generic term for anything roundly shaped, and secondly I purchase this box of 'mooncake' in Awyfully Chocolate.

Cova | Cakes & Coffee

After an early lunch, my friend and I wanted to grab a drink and so we went to Cova. The Cova in Wtc was significantly smaller than the Cova in Lee garden, there was only 7 tables in the store if I could remember clearly. We didn't go to Lee Garden's because it was raining heavily yesterday night.

We ordered a two people cake set at $198. The set included one gelato, two pieces of cake and two drinks. The gelato flavours was preset to flavour of the day, and we had Hazelnuts for the night. For cakes, you could select any two flavours you like from the cake fridge. For drinks, we have regular coffee and Irish coffee.

Sakura Street | Might Not Be Doraemon's Favourite

I had two movie preview tickets of Predators for free, so I went to Kornhill Plaza straight after work. I felt really hungry, so I went to Sakura Street (櫻みち) to buy a dorayaki(銅鑼焼) as light snack before dinner. They were doing a special promotion on dorayaki, selling at $10 for a chosen flavour. Strawberry and Cream was the promotion item of the night.

Sweet Secrets

I have heard that Sweet Secrets offers nice cheesecakes, so I decided to have a few pieces today after I had my light lunch. Sweet Secrets were located around the corner behind the hectic Times Square Shopping Center, It was décor in an eye-catching Jasmine purple, so whoever drives past the shop should have notice its present. Under this burning temperature, you will understand what heaven is once you stepped into the shop. The shop had a strong cooling air-conditioning, possibly to provide the best environment to store their cakes. The shop is pretty small, I bet it could only fit in 4-5 individual customers at a time. The cake display is shown facing the street, so you have to walk out of the shop to check the cakes out.

Roll | Cake Rolls

Passing by Tsim Sha Tsui I suddenly recalled this pretty new but famous cake shop at the hectic Granville Road. Having seen so many nice photos about the cake rolls, although it was really late at night, I figured I should go and grab some home for brunch in the next morning. This way I could buy more as I could share them with my family.

The store is pretty girly I would say. It is pink everywhere, if you looked up on the top left hand corner of the shop, you could even see a pink surveillance camera....YES, a surveillance camera in pink! If it is a webcam, I would definitely get one for myself.

Royce - Indulge in Nama Choco

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★★★

Recently I am in love with Royce's Nama Chocolate. I bought my first box of Mild Cacao awhile ago for my dad. I absolutely love it! Every bit was a tongue full of satisfaction ♥.

'Silky palate: melts in your mouth'

Just as Royce's description for its Nama Chocolate, it really does melt in your mouth. It has a truffle kind of texture but much softer. It has to be refrigerated and I just known it is best to eat it an hour after standing it in room temperature! I usually just have them right from the fridge. I dont think anyone would literally put a whole box out for an hour before having the chocolate right? And not to mention the wait.
