Cafe R & C - Cute 3D Kitty Latte Art

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆

If you are a Facebook or Instagram user, you must have seen this cute cup of beverage at least once. It is either from Allegretto in Taim Sha Tsui or Cafe R&C in Causeway Bay. These two cafes are always packed and has long queue due to this signature cup of cappuccino, especially over the weekends. One might easily wait over an hour for this cup of coffee. I went Cafe R&C for dinner on a weekday and luckily there was no one waiting.

Coffee Alley - Delicious Croissan'wich

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

Finally I got to try the Taiwanese coffee chain, Coffee Alley which landed in Hong Kong early last year 2013. While I was hoping the hype has gone down a bit after the opening of the Tsim Sha Tsui branch, I went to the Causeway Bay branch today and found out the queue was still crazy! I arrived 25 minutes before the cafe opened and to my very surprise, there was already a line of eager diners queuing along the stairs. Getting slightly worried, I counted the number of people ahead of me and looked up the available seating online and found 60 available. Phew...then I waited happily for the cafe to open, which they opened promptly at 12 noon.

Pierre Hermé x Ritz Carlton - Infiniment Citron Afternoon Tea

Cravingness: ★★★★☆

Pierre Hermé has been my favourite macaron producer on the planet. I was very excited over the collaboration between Pierre Hermé Paris and Cafe 103 of Ritz Carlton Hong Kong which they designed a summery afternoon tea called 'Fetish Infiniment Citron Afternoon tea'. The special tea set features desserts made with Citrons from Sicilian, Italy. Are you ready for a refreshing and tarty journey, my fellow Pierre Hermé's fans?

Cova - Dessert Buffet, Guilty Indulgence

Cravingness: ★★★☆☆

I am always a Cova Girl. It is difficult not to love Cova, their gelato, tarts, cakes and dining dishes are all delicious and addiciting. Yet I have never tried their evening dessert buffet before, as I am those who will die if I don't eat savoury food. I was invited by my friend F for a tasting for the evening dessert buffet, and so I went.

Nosh - New Favourite Brunch Place!

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★★☆

Nosh is a new brunch place I found located over the corner at Upper Station street. The brunch menu is not extensive but has enough choices to pick from. All ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is great and the staffs are attentive. It was our first time brunching here but we already love it here.

Blisshive - Not As Good As I Expected

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★☆☆☆

BlissHIVE Bakery Café is a bakery at Tai Hang that makes fresh bread, it is also a pretty nice cafe to spend the afternoon (ambiance wise). The floor to ceiling window allows sufficient sunlight into the cafe. I love the cheerful music playing at the background and the constant flow of coffee aroma in the air. The ambience here relaxes me.

Mymy Caffè - Oh My! Decadent Hot Chocolate!

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★★☆

Ever since my first sip of rich velvety hot chocolate in Barcelona, I have always been a big fan of hot chocolate. Not just any chocolate, but thick velvety chocolate. Back in Hong Kong, most of the time I go to Vero's Chocolate for their decadent hot chocolate. Recently I am introduced to Italian hot chocolate by Henry and I have to say I first found the texture funny. For those of you who have not tried Italian hot chocolate before, I am going to introduce Mymy Caffè to you.

Teakha - Nice place to Chill

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

If you are looking for a cafe to spend a lazy afternoon, Teakha would be your choice. Located at Sheung Wan, this al fresco tea house offers a good range of teas and delicate cakes and pastries. There are a few tables available outdoor, but be warned that this place is very popular and tends to get very crowded during the weekend. Try to arrive before 2pm before the crowd shows up.

Craving for something during tea time and having no luck in getting a seating at Coffee Alley (who does anyway?), I went to Wired Cafe instead at Hysan, Causeway Bay.

There are a few cafes in Sheung Wan who offer pastries and cakes for dessert, yet these cafes often close earlier. The Green Lounge, a cafe renowned for their yummy brunch and all-day breakfast, has recently launched a dessert menu for all the sweet tooth. The dessert menu is available from 3pm to 11.30pm throughout the weekend. More reason to indulge in desserts anytime anyday!

Fiat Caffé - New Items on Menu

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★☆☆☆

If you walk along Leighton Road, you might pass by Fiat Caffé and think it is nothing but a car showroom. The two floors Fiat Caffé is a great concept by bringing food and a car showroom together (like how Ikea brought snack shop/ restaurant into their stores). With an eye catching Fiat model displaying on the ground floor, passenger's attention are definitely drawn in. When you step into the shop, an instant flow of coffee aroma hits you and then you will realise there is a cafe located on top.

BurgeRoom - Interesting Strawberries Fries

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆

We were trying to find a spot for brunch on this sunny morning (but with a T3 storm warning), went to Coffee Alley wanting to try our luck but the line was freaking crazy! Really? Wait an hour for a cup of coffee? You must be joking. The closest restaurants near us would be Caroline Hill Road, but we found out nothing opens before 12pm, not even cafe who offers waffles. We decided to Lunch at Ramen Jo, and went to Burgeroom for a cup of coffee to wake us up.

Cafediréct - Nice Coffee from your Kitchen

Coffee culture is wide spreading in Hong Kong. Even though there are numerous commercial coffee shops like Starbucks and Pacific Coffees or homey coffee cafes and shop all over Hong Kong, there are always times we want a nice cup of coffee at home. So for people who does not have the coffee machine at home, our best option is ground coffee. I was invited to join a coffee tasting by Cafédirect, a UK coffee brand carrying the Fairtrade label, where they introduce a new range products of blended roast and ground coffee to Hong Kong.

CoCo Espresso - Coffee made with Heart

Price: $
Crave Level: ★★★★★

Everytime my customer (also a good friend) come over to Hong Kong, we will go for some coffee. He, being a coffee sales + barista in Latvia, loves Hong Kong coffee culture. He says the coffee culture in Latvia is very commercialised, people drinks only Starbucks and even some barista does not care about coffee. Anyway, this time we went to CoCo Espresso.
