Blisshive - Not As Good As I Expected

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★☆☆☆

BlissHIVE Bakery Café is a bakery at Tai Hang that makes fresh bread, it is also a pretty nice cafe to spend the afternoon (ambiance wise). The floor to ceiling window allows sufficient sunlight into the cafe. I love the cheerful music playing at the background and the constant flow of coffee aroma in the air. The ambience here relaxes me.

Hot Chocolate - HKD$32

Hot chocolate surprise at Blisshive! Although it wasn't the type which it's rich and velvety, there were chocolate bits on top, hidden underneath the froth! The chocolate flavour was bold, they use 60% chocolate here to make the hot chocolate. I wish they can make a more refine froth.

Lasagne with Mashed Potato and Salad - HKD$65

Lasagne with mashed potato and salad with light dressing. Pretty standard taste. I think the lasagne was a bit wet and lack of texture.

Buttercream Cake - $38 (+15 lunch set)

There is probably one of the worst cake I have ever tasted. The buttercream was overly buttery with a disgusting rubbery taste and texture. YIKES!!!!!

I am very disappointed about the food quality of blisshive. The food tasted like those set lunch from a cafe at work district during rush hour. If you are looking for Deadend Cafe or Nosh quality, this is not where you go.
