Blisshive - Not As Good As I Expected

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★☆☆☆

BlissHIVE Bakery Café is a bakery at Tai Hang that makes fresh bread, it is also a pretty nice cafe to spend the afternoon (ambiance wise). The floor to ceiling window allows sufficient sunlight into the cafe. I love the cheerful music playing at the background and the constant flow of coffee aroma in the air. The ambience here relaxes me.

Lab Made - HK Crispy Toast & Bailey's Mint Chocolate Chip

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆

Another two weeks another few new flavours appears on the Lab Made menu! As creativity carries forward, Lab Made again blends in Canto flavour into their liquid nitrogen ice-cream and created HK Crispy Toast and Bailey's Mint Chocolate Chip which available from 24 Sep to 7 Oct 2013. We have seen Bailey on the menu before, so the attention naturally drawn to HK Crispy Toast! As a big fan of all different kinds of Canto Toast, I ran to try out this flavour tonight.

Lab Made - Mid-Autumn Specials

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★★☆

A really late entry on Lab Mad's Mid Autumn's liquid nitrogen ice-cream flavour, just a recap on the nice HK Custard Bun flavoured that I have tried. I did not try the mooncake one as I already have had too many mooncakes.

Xiao Tian Gu - Still A Great Dessert Choice

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★★☆

A random crave for dessert made us go to Xiao Tian Gu tonight. The dessert shop was quite packed, showing its popularity at Tai Hang.

Hokkaido Stewed Milk

This cute white porcelain cup holds Xiao Tian Gu's signature dish - Hokkaido Stewed Milk. The warm Hokkaido Stewed Milk was smooth with sweet Hokkaido milk taste.

Lung Fung Cafe - Meh...Microwaved food!?

Price: $
Cravingness: ★☆☆☆☆

Spam Sandwich with Scramble Egg and Caviar
Long has Lung Fung Cafe opened in Tai hang and knowing it is opened by a local comedian/ actor, I was never interested in dining there. I had heard some bad comments about the Cha Chaan Tan but I never listen unless I try it myself. Judging from the photos hanging from the windows outside the Cha Chaan Teng, even it was absolutely empty at 8.30pm on a Sunday night, we went in without concerned.

Choi's Kitchen - Delish Eel Clay Pot Rice

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

My friend is a loyal customer of Choi's Kitchen, she intended to bring us there on this Saturday night but we couldn't make a telephone reservation. We still went however to see if by chance that someone would cancel their booking. The manager recognized my friend and arranged a table for us within minutes after seeing how sincere we want to dine in there lol.

Choi's Kitchen is a Hong Kong local style restaurant located in Tai Hang. The settings was very simple with several wooden tables and stools. The place was small and uncomfortable to seat in, but the food is nice and very homey.

The Socialhouse - Food with Interesting twist

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

One might think The Socialhouse is a lively bar restaurant for friends to mingle, in fact The Socialhouse has this romantic setting which actually suits couples dining more. Anyway I went with my dad tonight, so I had a nice candle light dinner with him. Ha! The restaurant is always empty, but I wanted to try it for long so that couldn't change my mind.

J-Dog - Japanese Style Hot Dog

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

Somehow I think people dinning in Tai Hang usually has a dinning option in mind. So perhaps being a fast food shop, J-dog might not be as populated as other restaurants on the same street. I went today for a quick dinner and found it was actually pretty nice. So hop in here to get their dogs for snack or for a quick meal.

Pudding - YUCK! Frozen Toast!

☆☆☆☆☆
$

Pudding is a dessert shop in Tai Hang that I had been wanting to try for long. I went there today with my friends and was hugely disappointed.

The shop was small but furnished in cosy simplicity. The ambiance was nice with relaxing music playing in the background. The menu was simple and we had no clue what the desserts look like from the picture. The staff was friendly and eager to serve, they passed us his iPhone and showed us the pictures of their desserts. (Shouldn't it be iPad serving this function nowadays?) Anyway, we ordered the following...

Daruma Ramen House - A Wish On Tai Hang Road

★★★★☆
$

After Butao and Yukitei, i am growing to love Jap Ramen. Jap Ramen to me before was nothing but Ajisen Ramen, but now I can see why people could get so crazy about them. I have also tried Ramen Santouka (山頭火), Ippei-An and 魔麵 etc, but I still love Butao the most. G. says there is another store she reckons is better than Butan in Gough St. , better go try it sometimes.

Panda | Hip Curry Resto But Would Not Try Twice

Panda Japanese Homestyle Curry
G/F,94 Tung Lo Wan Road, Tai Han
2503-5888
Date of Dinning: 25 JUN 2011 (Sat)
Price: $100 - $150

Saturday 3pm we were planning to late lunch at Daruma Ramen House at Tai Hang, but found it was closed (idle hours). Under the hot sun, we decided to go anywhere that would take us instantly, and here we go at Panda Curry. There weren't any lunch/ tea sets available so we had to order a la carte at menu price.

The interior decor was pretty cool and modern. There was a huge panda figure hanging on the ceiling which didn't seem very safe and seemingly would fall any minute. The sofa booster was extremely uncomfortable, overly soft and u felt sinking the minute you seat down. We changed to another table with wooden chair.

小甜谷 - BEHOLD! Shaved Ice Fruit Mountain!

★★★★☆
$

Stewed Milk with Red Bean 紅豆特濃牛乳燉蛋白 (7/10)
I always ordered this dessert hot. The stewed milk has a strong and full taste of Japanese Milk which is very yum. The adding of the red bean further added colours to the stewed milk. The only downside is it is rather filling.

小甜谷 | 特濃牛乳燉蛋白♥

My phone rang in the middle of the night, right before I showered. I hesitated for a second whether to answer the call, but I took it in the end. Two close friends of mine decided to go for a late night drive and asked whether I would like to join. I told them I was already on pyjamas, and they said they were too. Ridicously as we were, we went out with our pyjama.

We drove around and decided to pay a visit at 小甜谷. They said it was founded by the film star Jo Koo and heard that the dessert quality was pretty nice. Tai Han was renowned to be the newly cultured area with fab fusion restaurants exta. It constructs of many small lanes, so it was rather difficult to locate the restaurant correctly. We drove around in Tai Han and worried that it was closed as we did not know the store's openning hours. Luckily the restaurant was still opened, and we grasped our seat promptly once we parked our car.
