[Snack] Snack Sand Cracker - Cocoa Cream

I have always love biscuits with chocolate fillings. I saw this box of cracker at 759 store today and bought it immediately for coffee snack.

The box is quite big in size, so I was kind of surprise that it only holds 5 packs of biscuits within. Within each packs holds 2 pieces of chocolate biscuits. (I double checked, they did mention 95g 2pcs x 5 packs on the box. Oops!)

MAD FUN + MIRACLE - The Koala Biscuit Ball

If you have followed my instagram, you might have noticed I uploaded a photo of me holding a pretty gigantic (in relative terms) chocolate ball on a spoon. For those who have not yet followed my ig, here is what I have uploaded. (My instagram ID: foodcraverhk)

So what was this about? A while ago, there was a huge hype on a trick/magic on the koala bear biscuits which basically everyone was talking about it (or at least knew about it). The rule is simple:-

Jenny Bakery - 4 Mix Cookies

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★★☆

Despite the 8 Mix, the 4 Mix is pretty nice too. The main difference between the two mix is the texture of the cookies - 4-mix are cookies with softer and fluffier texture, while 8-mix are cookies with harder texture with more buttery taste. If you like more fluffy and soft cookies, you should definitely get the 4-Mix.

Jenny Bakery - 8 Mix Cookies

Price: $$ (HKD$150 for Size M)
Cravingness: ★★★★★

There are food that are truely addictable, which one cannot stop eating one after another. Jenny Bakery's cookies is definitely the opium. I can polish half a tin in a day, I just cannot stop indulging in it.

My love in Jenny Bakery emerges since when I was still in Secondary School (What? Like 10 years ago?) My mom said when she first bought Jenny Bakery, they don't even have a popper store, just a pop up store at a Pharmacy  Well, i dont know if its true, I just know I have been having this cookies in a bear cookie tin for a long long time.

Trader Joe - Speculoos Cookies

This is gonna be a short entry but I am sharing this awesomely scrumptious Speculoos Cookies from Trader Joe's that I bought when I was in US. My eyes were shinning like crazy when I saw this, because I couldn't really find Speculoos Cookies in Hong Kong. (Okay, I might not be looking deep enough. Tell me where if you find it :) )

J-Dog - Japanese Style Hot Dog

Price: $
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

Somehow I think people dinning in Tai Hang usually has a dinning option in mind. So perhaps being a fast food shop, J-dog might not be as populated as other restaurants on the same street. I went today for a quick dinner and found it was actually pretty nice. So hop in here to get their dogs for snack or for a quick meal.

Champs Bar and Restaurant - The Happy Hour Bar

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆
(Restaurant Tasting)

There was once when I wanted to try every single burger place in Hong Kong, The Champs was on my to try list. The Champs is located at the Charter House, somewhere I wouldn't say is at the heart of Wanchai. It is quite a coincident that it falls into one of my walking route from work, where I spotted its huge poster advertising their burger and know about it's existence.

The Champs is a bar restaurant in American settings. The place is spacious, with an open bar table at the front door and lots of stools and booth seatings further inside.  There is two big TV screens in the middle and at the end of the pub restaurant, playing sports channel that apparently drawing many guys here. The ambiance is quite lively with suitable noise level which is perfect for happy hour and also for big party, which happened to accommodated one the night I went.

Cafe Grouchos - Nice Burger & Cute Sliders

★★★★☆
$

We came to Stanley today planning to spend the afternoon on the beach. My friend asked me to find a place for brunch beforehand, and so we went to Cafe Grouchos.

Cafe Grouchos is an outdoor cafe located at Stanley Waterfront Mart, especialises in fast food such as hotdogs and burgers. Right next to Grouchos, there is a rival cafe which serves similar food, so look carefully if you want to pay a visit here (I heard next door wasn't that good). Tables come and go quite quickly within 10 minutes, so its worthwhile for those minutes of wait.

Ruth's Chris Steak House - Best Steak in Hong Kong

Price: $$$$
Cravingness: ★★★★★

I had always considered Ruth's Chris as a fancy steakhouse given its price, but found they aren't going the fancy style but a happy cosy steakhouse style. In several localised steakhouse in HK, you will find 'black pepper sauce' along with the steaks, but in Ruth's Chris Steakhouse the best sauce to go with your steak is Butter, Salt and Pepper. A topnotch steak does not require any sauce as itself can already provide the best taste and mouthfeel that one could get.

Apple green | Brunching & Bagels!

Craving for some pasta, so we went to Apple Green for brunch. Brunching at Apple Green is never lavish, but was pretty chill and relaxing.

The Gourmet Burger Union

The recent Beer Pong Tournament did get me to dine a lot in lkf. After our last visit in the Cul-De-Sac, today we decided to dine in Gourmet Burger Union which is just right opposite to CDS.

On our way up the slope, we got this $10 promotion coupon from GBU's worker which suited us perfectly. The GBU store was extremely tiny, it could only fit less than six customers at one time. There was just a couple dinning when we arrived the restaurant, but I felt claustrophobic already.

Indulgence in Ireland's Potato

In Causeway Bay, despite people, the next thing you can find most easily on street is food. Restaurant, fast food stalls and convenient stores are everywhere. Seemingly food is not a scarce resource anymore. The supply floods the market while the demand is surged by the increase of Mainland Tourists, and of course, foodie like us.

I could never ever resist the evil aroma from all the foods at street in Causeway Bay. Today I was led to Ireland's Potato and got myself a cup of chips. Let's just for once forget about the calories.

Starbucks | Toffee Nut Latte

Before we started our art jamming class and right after our filling lunch, everyone was in a food coma zombie mode and desperately needed a cup of coffee to wake ourselves up.

We thought there wouldn't be any nice coffee shop around the area in Lai Chi Kok, but here we found a Starbucks at the perfect corner!

Shake'em Buns - Cheese Steaks Indulgence

After the heavenly tasty Cheese Steaks from Cul-De-Sac, it got itself a pretty prestigious position in my favourite food list. From my last visit to Shake'em Buns, I vaguely remembered the menu mentioned Cheese Steaks. So I went to check it out.

From what I remembered, Shake'em Buns usually toasted their buns for burgers. The buns were usually toasted very crunchy and went extremely nice with the Burgers. While Cul-De-Sac's bun was a bit on the soft side, I held great expectation on Shake'em Bun's Cheese Steaks.

The Big Bite - A Tale of 3 People and 50 wings!

Tuesday is here and so is Big Bites' Wings Night. Their renown buffalo wings was all priced at $3/pc in any quantity (minimum 5pc) upon the purchase of a $15 beer or drink.

Wings Night is a popular trend for bars in the US for friends to eat inexpensive food and grab a beer. We saw lots of ppl tonight but it seems none of them are here for the wings.

My crazy friends wanted to order 20 wings per person which I have objected the idea instantly. We compromised to order less and get an chips order instead. Then they went to order, which I later regretted since they ended up ordering 50 wings without informing me. 50 WINGS OMG!

Cul-de-Sac | Wow! So this is Cheese Steaks!

Right before the 2010 beer pong tournament commenced at Hush, we went to lkf for dinner and I suggested Cul-de-Sac which located at one of the busiest street at lkf renowned for Thai cuisine.

Cul-de-Sac is a word of French origin refers to dead end street with only one inlet. In modern suburban use, Cul-de-Sac is used to calm vehicle traffic. Cul-de-Sac restaurant in this case might means a place to gather away from the crowds in lkf.

The Cul-de-Sac is an American fast food restaurant which serves hotdogs, burgers and other snacks. It is a tiny store with only four high tables and several bar table seats, yet its decor is in western pub style and it had successfully captured the lively ambiance in the area. Not to mention their huge open kitchen which mouth watery aroma dispersed all over the restaurant.

Shake'em Buns | Nice place Nice Food Nice Service

Having heard of the name Shake'em Buns for so many times, I finally got my chance to dine there! We arrived the J Residence but had no idea where the restaurant was, so we walked round the building and checked things out at the same time. During the circling, we located several decent restaurants in the building that we have heard of but not knowing where they are. Seems I would be dinning here a lot in the coming weeks.

The Big Bite | The Best Burger Bargin Ever

I had a great burger bargain tonight, thanks to Openrice.com for this +$1 to get a poutine on every burger/ hot dog purchase coupon. Yet north point was not the best dinning location for my friend and I, and we barely go to north point. We arrived the restaurant at around 730pm and found the restaurant spaceous, as in not much customers were dining there. we chose to sit at the high table with uncomfortable stool since it seemed to have more privacy.

Shakey's Pizza | A Place For Youngster To Cluster

Despite September, November is the most horrible month in a year. Why are there so many November stars? 3 of my friends are having birthdays this month, and one of them chose Shakey's Pizza to celebrate their big month. I had not tried Shakey's Pizza before, but I heard it was not that good, so I did not really anticipating much about it.
