A really late entry on Lab Mad's Mid Autumn's liquid nitrogen ice-cream flavour, just a recap on the nice HK Custard Bun flavoured that I have tried. I did not try the mooncake one as I already have had too many mooncakes.
HK Custard Bun (流沙奶黃包)
As usual the liquid nitrogen ice-cream was served in one and a half scoop portion. There was not any fancy sauce on top of the ice-cream this time, just simply a pale yellow scoop
The egg custard bun flavoured ice cream had a strong egg yolk flavour, it did taste like the filling of the egg custard bun but without the bun taste. Perhaps they can put a finger size bun at the side to fully live up with the name! Texture wise the ice-cream was smooth and creamy, but definitely not runny as I was expecting as it's name in Chinese was HK Runny Custard Bun.
