FEAST - Afternoon Tea Set Inspired by Cath Kidston

Price: $$
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆1/2

Afternoon Tea is my soft spot. I love the elegant cake stand and lovely presentation of the meticulously prepared bite sizes cakes and sandwiches. Feast (Food by East) recently launched a new afternoon tea set inspired by Cath Kidston and Penney Pang, an award winning cake designer. Simply by the brand Cath Kidston, you could already imagine how floral and beautiful the tea set is gonna be! The afternoon set costs HKD228 for two and is available now daily until 18th May. Scroll down to check the adorable tea utensils!

The lovely tableware sets comes in 3 colours - baby pink, baby yellow and baby blue, all in lovely rose pattern. I just want to bring all of them home! Which one of below is your favourite colour?

Ahhhhhh....... Lemme sip my cup of English Breakfast tea from this beautiful teapot before I devour the tea set! ♥

Even the menu looks really cute! You might want to keep the napkin behind the menu and ask for another one! LOL!

Fruits Scones

Scones! One of my favourite food on Earth. Only fruit scones are available for this Cath Kidston tea set, I love raisons so I don't mind there is no plain scones. The scones here was surprisingly good. They are very buttery, fluffy and soft. It was slightly on the sweet side, perhaps they could use less sugar? The clotted cream, oh my, was silky smooth! Let's just smear loads of the clotted cream and strawberry jam on the scones and forget about the calories, shall we?

After the scones, I went for the savouries as usual. The Asparagus Wrapped in Gorgonzole and Cured English Ham was nice. The ham was rather salty and oily but was brought down by the icy crisp asparagus. The Sun-Blushed Tomato Palmier was not too nice. It tasted pretty bland and was soft, lacking the crispy texture I was expecting. The Quiche Lorraine was the best savoury treat on this level.  The soft egg custard had an awesome toasty bacon aroma that swirls on your palate!

Tea Smoked Salmon, Horseradish and Cucumber

I am a big brioche lovers, so I had some sort of standards for brioche. This brioche failed me as it was hard in texture, fortunately it was still made herby. The salmon was smokey, smooth with good oil content. This one was not as refreshing as I imagined.

Duck-Egg Mayonnaise and Watercress

This tomato flavoured bread was lovely and I also love the creamy egg mayonnaise.

Westbourne Rose Earl Grey Cupcake

I usually expect pretty cupcake to have a negative correlation to its taste. This Earl Grey Cupcake was, to my surprise, delicious! The cupcakes had a lovely earl grey taste and a spongy texture. The cream cheese filling was smooth and creamy! The cupcake was at the right sweetness! Well done Chef David Parkin and his team!

Field Rose Cream-Filled Macaroon

The Macaron was also great. The shell was again earl grey in flavour, it was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The filling was a sweet rose buttercream.

Safari Orange Blossom Chocolate Bon Bon

A beautiful leopard patterned chocolate bon bon which I also loved. The Bon Bon was made with creamy and smooth white chocolate with orange flavour.

The set inspired by Cath Kidston is quite a steal with its beautiful tablewares, cute pastries and good price. Most of the items were pretty nice, and definitely worth a try =)!

PS The tea set on the cake stand is only available during weekday. If you come on a weekend, they will serve all the items above separately on the semi-buffet area.

PPS All diners who savour this tea set will receive a special Cath Kidston rose hand cream and a 10% discount card for any Cath Kidston store! Superb deal! =)
