Jean Paul Hevin New Spring Afternoon Tea

Price: $$$
Cravingness: ★★★☆☆

Attention to all afternoon tea lovers, Jean-Paul Hévin has recently launched a new afternoon tea set "Voyage de Printemps" to celebrate Spring becoming. The high tea set priced at HKD368 is available now until 20th April, only at its first Parisian style Boutique et Bar à Chocolat at Lyndhurst Terrace. If you like their Macarons and chocolates, you have to come savour this beautiful afternoon tea set.

The tearoom is situated on the second floor which surprisingly holds more tables than I thought. The ceiling is quite low but the area is still nice and comfy enough to spend hours there.

Table setting is simple. The "table mat" has a cute drawings of Parisians.

As you can see there are only two layers on the Spring high tea set. Lots of fruits are used in the tea set to align with the theme Spring, making the tea set very colourful!

Let's check out the lower level first. The first thing that attracted me was the tomato gazpacho which is a blend of tomato, red pepper, Italian cucumber and coriander. The sweet soup was a great glass to refresh my palate. Next I had the soft boiled "oeuf mollet" on a salad nest. The yolk was creamy yet not too runny nor sweet. I was a bit disappointed at this.

The smoked salmon and avocado "sandwich" was a petite piece, so you won't feel guilty eating too much! =P

The mango salsa was my favourite on this level. The mango was sweet and refreshing. The prawn was fresh and sweet!

The upper levels consist of mango and pistachio flavoured Macarons, mendicants that studded with apricots and figs, orangettes, bonbons with mandarin milk chocolate ganache and the almighty cake with different fruits in it.

I wish I can have this everyday! The cake was buttery, soft and spongy. Together with the sweet and chewy fruits, it was soooooooo delicious!!!

The traditional scones were replaced by french baguette. The baguette was served warm and crispy on our table and was absolutely perfect to go with the amazing jam the spring high tea set offers.

If you fell in love with the jams in here, make sure you buy a jar home at the counter on 1/F =)!

Apart from the tea set, a new chocolate infused with mango is introduced. Look how thick the texture is and imagine drinking a silky and rich chocolate with a sweet mango note in it. Yum! You cannot come here without tasting their chocolate!

I also tried the Chocolat Chaud Colombie which is also a rich chocolate with a roasted coffee tones. The chocolate beans naturally carries caffeine! I got addicted and went back a week after for this!

Again this "Viyage de Printemps" Spring high tea set is available every weekend and public holiday between 10.30am to 2pm from now on until 20th April, only available at the chocolate bar at Lyndhurst Terrace.

After the high tea, don't forget to grab some colourful macarons and bonbons home! They are available in box set too!
