Before I went for a doctor, I want to cure my hunger first. I wanted a bowl of congee and the only restaurant that springs to mind had closed down for quite a while already. The next area which will still offer congee should be in Jardine's Street and here I found a big word of Congee on a restaurant's bill board.
Minced Beef congee
I have long not seen a price that crazily affordable in Causeway Bay before. The congee base was pre-made, they just added the ingredients into the soup after an order is made. The congee was boiling hot when served and was actually quite tasteful. The amount of minced beef was generous but some of the minced beef got stuck together and hence not chewable. The congee bowl looked small, but I could not finish the whole bowl.
Steamed Rice Roll $8
The rice roll looked quite appetizing when served. Ketchup and sesame sauce was added in by ourselves. The rice roll was too soft and meshy in texture. It was rather bad so I just had a few.
To be frank, the food was note that tasteful in here. Yet, if you are looking for an ulmost inexpensive lunch/dinner, feel free to visit the restaurant. FYI, it didn't give me a stomach, so the food should be clean although the environment is not at all promising.
