Green, a typical colour used to symbolize the idea of environmental friendly, can always be seen in place where healthy foods are served. Bubble Green is a restaurant which located close to my office. Despite the word 'green' in its name, every interior decor is green in colour, which seemed to express an idea of fresh, green and environmental friendly.
Ironically, there is nothing environmental friendly about this restaurant. Every utensil used was those easily disposable ones, plastic forks, knives, spoons, rectangular bowls and paper cups! What can be more unenvironmentally friendly than this store? I had no idea.
I ordered Japanese rice with roasted chicken and fried egg. The egg was made over easy with beautiful yellow yolk shivering on the egg white when served. I poked the yolk and had the essence mixed with the Teriyaki sauce. The yolk has quite strong an egg taste and went extremely well with the Teriyaki sauce, it also made the rice smooth to taste. The pearl rice was big, fat, sticky and rather soft in texture, but still chewable.
The chicken was quite tasteful with the Teriyaki sauce, but was kind of hard in texture. The chicken seemed old and was not tender enough. The amount was quite generous tho, I could not finish all of them in the end.
I dislike how they create an impression of green but operate the store in another way. I am not a green advocate but I felt like I was being deceived.
