It would be hard to pick only one shop as my favourite Ramen place, as different shops offer different broth and ramen. However if you ask me where do I love to go for Ramen, Ramen Jo is always on top of the list.
There are 4 classic flavours and seasonal specials at Ramen Jo. I personally reckon Ramen Jo is not good at tonkotsu broth, at least I do not like it as much as the others Ramen Jo offers. In Ramen Jo, the only love I have here is their mountain ramen and sometimes their seasonal specials. In this melting summer, Ramen Jo also introduced cold ramen which was amazing!
I have said hundred times over and over again I love Ramen Jo's Mountain Ramen and it is one of the best ramen at all times! The most addicting part of this Mountain Ramen is its delectable bonito fish broth. You can also request garlic for your broth which can further enhanced the taste of the bonito broth. I almost finished all the broth every time I went to Ramen Jo, even the broth is rich and thick. The yellow curly ramen and the mountain high cabbage are both another reason that I love this ramen. Ramen Jo's barbecue pork was also very fatty and tender. Yum yum yum!
The cold ramen was a seasonal offer from Ramen Joe. We were warned that the noodle portion is gonna be 1.5x the usual portion, but WOW, this bowl of noodles did come in big!
Again, the noodles was the chewy yellow ramen that I love. The icy dipping sauce along with chopped green onions, sesame bits and wasabi tasted very summer with a spicy refreshing taste but a bit overly salty. The slices of pork were tender and the shredded cucumber was crisp. The Onsen egg was perfect, creamy, sweet with a runny orangy yolk. A satisfying bowl.
