Hailing from the success of their first restaurant at Tsim Sha Tsui, BBQ 7080 is now opened in Causeway Bay. Opened by Korean, this BBQ restaurant is meant to be authentic! I went to their Tsim Sha Tsui main branch once and the queue was crazy! If you want to try BBQ 7080, I highly recommend the branch at Causeway Bay. They accept telephone reservation too, so book in advance!
BBQ 7080 is a causal, hip and fun BBQ restaurant with futuristic lighting shines through the restaurant and K-Pop constantly playing at the background.

Here at BBQ 7080, you feel like you are dining in Seoul as the table setting is like all the BBQ restaurant in Korea, which is stainless steel table with a wind pipe on top surrounded by sofa top stools. The sofa top of the chair can be lifted, so you can put your belonging in the stool.
The murals at BBQ 7080 are amazing, with mainly carry the theme of cartoons or landscapes. The mural at the back of the restaurant even has a Bruce Lee painted on it!
Staffs at BBQ 7080 wear costumes, the Korean manager even has a colour band at his arm which looks like high school perfect. BBQ 7080 also has an mechanical mannequin standing at the door front which bows to welcome you from time to time. That really freaks me out.
Condiments and tea were given promptly soon after we sat, followed with lots of banchan.
For banchan, we have Kimchi, courgette and sautéed mushroom. The kimchi was mixed with salty fish mixed but I didn't like it. The sautéed mushroom was juicy and smooth, the courgette was crispy.
BBQ 7080 offers complimentary banchan and lettuce refills, so you can enjoy as much as you can.
Since we have never grilled pork skin before, we asked for an expert hand to grill for us. It was quite complicated and time consuming to grill the pork skin as you have to use the tong to hold the pork skin flat to the grill iron at all time. If not, it curls up like a squid and would not be fully cooked. You have to grill the pork skin until it becomes translucent, then you can cut it, cook a while longer, then enjoy.
The pork skin tasted utterly interesting, it was chewy, gooey, and sticky like glutinous food. The yellow bean power coating was good to go with the pork skin but it only had a subtle sweetness.
Grilled Sliced Breast Flesh of Beef - HKD188/150g
The sliced beef was AMAZING! The marbling was nice with great fat distribution, plus the fact that it was thinly sliced, it melts in your mouth instantly! The beef was also very smokey as well!
Grilled Pork Rinds - HKD88/150g
I have always wanted to try grilled pork skin after watching the Korean drama "You who came from the stars", it was said the pork skin is filled with collagen! Heaven food for girls!Since we have never grilled pork skin before, we asked for an expert hand to grill for us. Grilled Pork belly in GochuJang - HKD118/150g
The pork belly was not as good as O thought. It was thickly cut and a tad dry.
Grilled Spicy Pork Small Intestine - HKD108/150g
The pig intestine was addicting! It was crispy and smokey on the outside. The inner was super chewy and interestingly bouncy, just like fishball. It was so bouncy that it literally bounced everywhere when we tried to cut it.
Grilled Eel (From Tong Young) - HKD188/200g
The eel was crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It was meaty with a tougher texture than the normal ones I had, but was still pleasant to taste.Grilled Sliced Breast Flesh of Beef - HKD188/150g

I love to enjoy my beef with a mint leaf, grilled garlic, raw onions and some GochuJang!
Buckwheat Noodles in Cold Broth - HKD88
No Korean BBQ ends well with a bowl of Mul Naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles)! Mul Naengmyeon is a must after BBQ to cool down the heat after the meal. To Korean, it is like a dessert after dinner, and who does not like dessert? I have dined in BBQ 7080 several times alreadt and still love it very much. The BBQ items are delicious and abundant here, but some might run out if you come late. The main dishes however was not impressive, so you can skip them and focus on grilled meats and seafood here.
