Foodpanda - Efficient Online Food Ordering Platform (with $50 off discount code)

Foodpanda, the world's largest online food ordering platform active in more than 40 countries, has launched in Hong Kong with hundreds of restaurant choices at the click of a button! Hungry eaters can now enjoy hot delicious food from their favourite restaurants at home or during office hour! I have personally tried foodpandas service and was contended. Hence below I will share more about foodpanda and just don't forget to check out the $50 voucher especially offered just for my readers! Check the promotion code at the end! =)

Foodpanda is a fully bilingual food ordering platform with a mobile app to make food ordering easy for both the locals and expats in Hong Kong. You can either order through their website or app which is available in both iOS and andriod. Both the ordering platforms are easy to use, but I personally like the website platform better as more information can be seen at once.

The most attractive attribute that I found on Foodpanda is their large variety of restaurants available. And not only did foodpanda offers fast food options such as Caliburger, Burgeroom, K-roll, Bao Wow, Piccolo Pizzeria etc, but also healthy eateries and vegetarian restaurants such as MANA!, eat Right and Maya Café!

foodpanda is easy to use. Doesn't matter if you want to order through the website or the app, all you need to do is to enter your exact delivery address and Foodpanda will automatically filter out restaurants not approach for delivery for the specific area. Say you want a lunch delivery at your office in Central, after you input Central to the 'location', it shows there are 114 restaurants that are currently available for delivery!

The delivery time and minimum order are clearly stated on the website. Menu option varies depends on the restaurants you picked but most items you find in the restaurant are available for delivery.

Payment can be made by credit card online or by cash on delivery. Once you submit the order, a confirmation SMS or email with delivery time will be sent to you, and all you need is to sit and wait for your food.

The other thing that I like about Foodpanda is that you can make your order in advanced. For example, you can make your lunch order two days in advance (or even earlier!)

If there is any question, you can even check out the live chat function on Foodpanda's website.

Convenient as it is, I found however two problems after using foodpanda a few times.

The first problem is the availability of restaurant hugely depends on where you live. Which in my case, in North Point, restaurants are not as readily available as in Central or Wanchai.

The second problem is punctuality. I found foodpanda has difficult in keeping its delivery promise. Most of the time, the delivery is at least half an hour late. And in my most extreme case, they took 2 hours to deliver my dinner, by which I was already starved to death. foodpanda compensated me with a discount voucher of HKD100 for the 2 hours delay. Despite the slow delivery, I was actually impressed by the heat controlling of the delivery. My food was hot everytime, even the one that was late for an hour!

Apart from the two problems I found, I actually quite like foodpanda. Food is guaranteed to deliver fresh and hot. The only thing you need is to make sure you live in a foodie neighborhood with lots of nice restaurants nearby.

For all of you who want to try foodpanda, you can now order with $50 off using my code CRAVERPANDA to redeem the voucher. Please note the voucher is valid for online payment and first time customers only. Order now at http://www.foodpanda.hk/
