My sister and I were already big fan of LKK, the famous eggettes (Hong Kong Egg Waffle) snack shop at North Point back when we were in secondary school. There are no numerous branches of LKK now in Hong Kong. Although very easily accessible, the quality varies among branches. Today I went to the branch at Wanchai for their condensed milk and peanut butter waffle.
The waffle was appropriately thick with medium sized squares where sauces were securely held. The texture was quite chewy with crunchy crust. The waffle was premade and warmed in the iron pan so it did not have the best crust. The waffle itself was quite eggy but the sauces were a bit too less and quite watery in my opinion.
The waffle was pretty mediocre. Due to its popularity, they always have eggettes and waffles made to stock. You should always request for fresh ones if you want it hot.
If you are looking for the best eggettes in Hong Kong or best waffle in Hong Kong, I personally recommend Mammy's pancake. They are heavenly delicious and are always made fresh.
