Cravingness: ★★★★☆
I bought this pack of snack from Okashiland because of its cute little dog-like creature on its packaging. The I started reading the English translation of the snack. 'Mameshiba'? What the hell is that? So I went to the web and got my answer.
Mameshiba are not quite a bean, nore a dog but rather a hybrid of both. They love to appear out of nowhere and offer random bits of trivia whether you asked for it or not. And believe it or not, there are tens of similar Mameshiba characters and they even sell T-shirts online! Japanese really love to create characters out of nowhere, like my favourite Tofu-Man.
More information, please go to their website at Here.
The snack was actually canael corn, Tohato if you dunno what canael corn is. They are some very soft and crispy crisps. It were in the shape of a edamame(枝豆 aka bean sticks). It also contained a strong edamame flavor and were mildly salty. The savory seasoning on the canael corn would stick on your tongue right after you had them, and thus made you very thirsty.
