Glico Pretz - Chocolate Double Pretz

From far left to right: Matcha Vanilla Double Pretz - Salad Pretz - Spicy Shrimp Pretz - Blueberry Cheese Double Pretz - Butter Pretz - Chocolate Double Pretz.

WOW is expected seeing these packs of rainbow coloured Pretz lying neatly on the table box after box. Glico's Pretz is at crazy price in China, guess how much they are - RMB$3.50 per pack for god's sake! I have bought 6 packs in one go and they cost me only RMB$19.20 in total! You could only get one and a half packs of Pretz in Hong Kong with the same price. Well, I guess this could be one of the several good things for working in China then.

I might love to eat snacks but I don't usually notice how many flavours there are. Pretz has several flavours of Double Pretz and of coz normal flavors available in the market. Double Pretz is called 'double' because there are two flavors on one biscuit stick - One serves as the basic taste of the biscuit and the other as a top coating.

Take Blueberry Cheese Double Pretz as an example, the double is a coating of blueberry piped along the length of the Cheese flavoured biscuit stick.

The Chocolate Double Prets has a chocolate coating piped along the cacao biscuit stick. As you can see from the photo below, the whole stick is dark brown in colour as it is entirely made of cacao content. Popping the whole caocao stick quickly seemed to give a coffee taste, but if you had it bits by bts you could actually tell it actually tasted cacao but may be I should say it was more mocha like. Without the mocha's bitterness the stick is mildly sweet.

!!! A BIG OH NO !!!

I just read the ingredients in the Chocolate Double Pretz words by words carefully and I found vegetable oil(partially hydrogenated) which means it contains unhealthy Trans Fat in it! Dangerous...shouldn't be having too much Pretz then!
